Gleich vier, darunter die wichtigsten Golden Globes, kassierte der kritische “Facebook”-Film “The Social Network” von Kunst-Regisseur David Fincher: Bester Film, Beste Regie, Bestes Drehbuch (Aaron Sorkin) und Bester Original Score (von Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross). Natalie Portman wurde als beste Hauptdarstellerin in “Black Swan” mit dem Golden Globe belohnt, bester Hauptdarsteller wurde Colin Firth (The King’s Speech).

Den Preis für das Lebenswerk erhielt Robert de Niro. Als beste TV-Serie wurde “Boardwalk Empire” (und dessen Hauptdarsteller Steve Buscemi) ausgezeichnet.
